It’s Monday! July 23rd Edition

Phew!

You guys, in the last 12 days, I have only slept in my own bed twice.  And they were not on consecutive nights.

I’m getting back to normal this week, but normal enough that I have a great post pulled together for day.  So here’s a brief, visual representation of some of what we’ve been reading for It’s Monday! at Teacher Mentor Texts.

Mom read (and thoroughly enjoyed):

Splendors and Glooms by Laura Amy Schlitz (Candlewick, August 2012)

One for the Murphys by Lynda Mullaly Hunt (Penguin Group for Young Readers, 2012)

Preschooler read:

Little Chicken’s Big Day by Katie and Jerry Davis (Margaret K. McElderry, 2011)

Arlo Needs Glasses by Barney Saltzbery (Workman, 2012)

And many more but ya know…I just can’t remember what they were now.  So that’s all there is to see here this week.  I’ll spend my time checking out your reads instead!

Yay! I’m so glad you enjoyed Splendors and Glooms! I met Laura at BEA and she was incredible. I mean, really incredible. Her writing is so rich. Just love it.

Loved One for the Murphys so much too! You had a great week!
