You know what today is, right?

Yes, it’s Valentine’s Day.

And yes, it’s also International Book Giving Day.

But did you also know that it is…

Cybils Day!

What day is more appropriate than the day of love to share some…well…book love!

I was so fortunate to serve as a second round judge for the Middle Grades Fiction category this year.  Some of the finalists were books that I had read before, others were ones that had not made it on my radar, but I am glad I had the opportunity to read.  Selecting a winner was tough, but I was lucky to serve with a fantastic panel of men and women.  We discussed.  We discussed some more.  We selected.  We think you’ll like our choice.

There always has to be a winner, but that doesn’t mean that those others that didn’t make the final cut don’t also deserve some time in the limelight.  I’ll be sharing my thoughts on a few of the other finalists in the coming weeks.
